Owner History

It was the year 1917 and Russia was in the midst of a civil war. A young man by the name of Meyer David Levin had grown impatient with the conditions in Russia and was desperately seeking a new beginning in a place that would offer him a brighter future. His search brought him West to the United Sates of America, where he settled with his wife in Glendale California.

Putting his agricultural skills to work, Meyer grew oranges and raised chickens on the land he purchased in Glendale, which he would eventually develop into small retail stores. The retail stores have since grown and remain in his family to this day.

Eventually, Meyer and his wife had a son Bob Levin, who became a well-respected physician in Los Angeles, California. Bob managed to juggle his medical practice while maintaining the property his father had developed in Glendale. After retiring from the medical profession, Bob decided it was time for him to augment his father’s contribution. His search led him to Whittier, California, where he purchased the Whittier Square building in 1995.

The tenants in this building speak worlds of the success of the management team in making this building one of Whittier’s outstanding business centers.

In fact, most of the new tenants come to the Whittier Square Building by word of mouth from the existing satisfied tenants. The staff of the Whittier Square building continues to maintain a strong commitment to the building and to serving their tenants needs, with a program of on-going improvements to the building. The Whittier Square building continues to attract new tenants based on its reputation of providing class “A” spaces a reasonable class “B” prices.
